Down the Mississippi is the story of CNN citizen journalist, Neal Moore's adventures as he travels down the iconic river in his canoe.
The approach to the book design is simple, straightforward, and thoughtful echoing Moore’s stories of the people he meets on journey along the river.
Black and white photography from Neal’s archive, was used to open each of the new chapters. Similar to the cover, bold typography was used for titling to provide context for the story ahead.
